Not out of jail yet

I am writing this from the 16th floor of Texas Childrens. I was folding clothes yesterday and I got a call from the fellow on-call who said that one of Fiona's cultures has been growing something and we have to come back in. We got admitted last night and they are trying to regrow something, to narrow down what she has. One of the nurses says it could've been a contaminant because Fiona isn't sick. What they found growing in her, some sort of bacteria, usually means she would be running a temperature, vomitting, something, but she's bouncing off the walls. We might be out Tuesday or we could be here for 7-10 days of IV antibiotics. I am going stir crazy and neither one of our laptops are able to access their Wi-fi. Ugh. I will let you know how it is going when I can.

I so feel for you!
I think I visited Texas Children's many years ago when we out for a visit.
Good luck on the cultures. We have one in the jar and I'm waiting to hear if it's grown anything.
It has to be one day at a time. I think that's one of the lessons we are supposed to learn from all this!
