Must See TV

NBC Thursdays, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Okay, so we were in San Antonio and this wasn't the best place in a crowded hotel room with two children to enjoy the Thursday night lineup. We Tivo'd all of the shows on Thursday and just couldn't wait to get home and start watching. It has been such a long writers' strike. I have missed all of those shows. The shows on Thursday were great. I have missed all of my favorites and those on Thursday are some of my very favorites. Okay, I am a total nerd, I have been enjoying Battlestar Galactica as well.
The Office embarrasses me so much, I can't hardly take it. I get embarrassed when people act awful and The Office is an experiment in torture. I can feel my shoulders tensing up listening to all of the stupid things people say.
I can't believe how long it's taking for some shows to get back on the air. I also can't believe that studios were willing to go basically off the air while they dickered over a few dollars for the writers. They have lost a lot of money and some promising new shows. I am sad that some of my favorites from the fall won't be coming back now. Or at least, not until the fall. Are you excited about your favorite shows returning? Have you lost interest in things you used to find exciting? I have to say, I used to enjoy Lost, but the long hiatus between seasons and the complicated storylines make it difficult to pick up again. I am just happy to have a few good weeks of television to look forward to.

Yes, we're headed to Dallas :) I like your countdown. Thanks for saying hi. Happy days ahead.

I love The Office! It is such an exaggerated version of the annoying things about working in an office that it becomes hysterical. If they worked in cubes, it would make me laugh even harder.

I can't tell if some of my fav fall shows are returning or not. Like Chuck, is it coming back? I agree about forgetting what happened before the strike. I think it's really going to hurt the dramas that rely on an ongoing storyline.

I, too, loved LOST. It started out so addicting but then it just wasn't worth the wait or all the plot additions without answering current mysteries.
The one we just discovered is Jericho. I have ordered the first season on Netflix and love it. I will wait until this season is out on DVD to get caught up.
I am not so patient about waiting for the next episode!
