Day 2

We had gotten a rental van so we didn't have to rely on rides from my family. Not to mention that we were going to Medford later that week. The very first morning that we were driving to visit people we got behind a semi truck that flipped a bolt up on us and cracked the windshield. The very first morning! Ugh. I was so bummed. What a pain. We had our regular insurance but TD also remembered that our Visa pays the extra money, which is true! I called them after we got home and they said the way that Texas property liability laws are set up, if you damage someone else's property, ie the rental company, then the insurance company is supposed to cover all of it. Thank heavens. But I hate it when something happens to wreck a vacation.
We went all over Sherwood. We took Buttercup to her old school and found her favorite teacher. I really appreciated this teacher because she was Buttercup's teacher when Fiona was first diagnosed. She gave her extra attention and basically mothered her at school, for which I could never thank her enough. We checked out our old house, which looked the same. I found a few friends at home. I really wanted everyone to be able to see Fiona. When we left she had a little bit of hair and some chubby cheeks and tummy. Now, she's got her beautiful curls and pink healthy cheeks and I felt like getting to see how healthy she is now would be very rewarding for all of the people who helped us.
My dad had his stress test this day, but the doctor wanted him back on Thursday to discuss the results with him. I so hate the waiting.
