Today my little brother became a daddy! Of course he does this after I leave town. His wife's water broke this morning, so her planned c-section (breech baby) due for Thursday was a bit hurried today. Ironically, she was born on my sister's birthday, the sibling he's least likely to get along with...wild.
I don't get to see the new baby until September, when we meet in Vegas for my big brother's graduation from his Air Force Physician's Assistant program. I also get to see my baby brother for the first time in two years on that weekend (he's been on a church mission). Weirdly enough, he was gone almost the exact time Fiona has been dealing with her chemo. I am glad he missed a lot of it, Fiona has had a special place in his heart. Fiona was born the 1st of November and we visited for Thanksgiving. We went around the table and said the things we were thankful for. My baby brother, 14 at the time, said he was thankful for the feelings he got when he held Fiona. He's always been such an awesome kid.
Did you follow which brother does what? Could be worse, you could've had to follow stories about my 5 sisters. The baby of which is going to come and live with us in less than 30 days. Wahoo! I have to come up with a pseudonym for her. She shares Fiona's real name, but we call her by a derivative of her middle name...the same name as Garfield the cat's doggy. Her middle name is also that of the Swan Princess. Did you follow that? Brownie points if you can figure out her name. It won't be fair if Emily guesses. She knows this little sister.

I've enjoyed reading more about your make-a-wish trip. Thank you for sharing! I'm so impressed by all they do to make these kids smile.
Mkay, I'm guessing your sister's name is Madeline Odette or something like that? Am I close? :)
If it is Madeline Odette, my vote would be for Moe.
you're getting a live-in little sister?? I'm jealous! Hope it works out well. Fun!
And yeah, Sam is such a sweet kid. Have to agree with that.
I think Moe might just work and Lori you are right! Of course, it helped that you know Fiona's real name. I don't mind people knowing, I just don't want to be google-able. Is that a real word? Anyway, Buttercup's name is that of a famous kids book about a pig. Hubby's name is also the title of a film about a presidential imposter in 1993 starring Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver. I will have to think about how to puzzle out my name.
