It has been a whole week since I posted last. I got my hands on Harry Potter the morning it came out. Hubby was great and kept the kids entertained and even went out to get me lunch on Saturday. I loved the book, I think it's my favorite. I was a bit sad about buying it because when I read it, Harry would be over for me. There are still movies left to come out, but they are never the same. In fact, we asked my sister to come over and watch the girls so we could see Harry Potter #5 on IMAX and partly in 3-D yesterday. #5 used to be my favorite. I was pretty disappointed in the movie. If I had never read the book, then it would have been a pretty good movie, but they barely scratched the surface of the book.
Speaking of my sister, I asked her to come and hang out with me when she could. I asked in front of her husband, so she could come up with the, "well my sister needs to get out, so I guess I should go with her." We wandered around the track this week already, we must have walked 5 miles.
The girls are making me crazy. Fiona has decided not to mind us any more. She's just testing her boundaries, but I am so not in the mood for that. I have even tried to wear her out, but it doesn't seem to work. She just gets crabbier and then doesn't go to bed any earlier. I am so grateful we decided that Fiona definitely needed to go to school this year. I know I need her to go to school this year.
I am back to step class. I think my heel has sufficiently heeled. I hurt it walking the halls of the hospital in less than sensible shoes. It was bad enough we were in the hospital, did I have to look bad....not when Fiona was doing so well. I should have stuck with my Nikes. Anyway, I am less motivated to work out and I figure that I would do better with other people and loud music.
So, things are going pretty well.

I think Harry Potter is good enough to read again and again. Maybe every few years. And since there are seven long books, we'll never really have to miss him. I remember feeling the same way about Anne of Green Gables at a certain age -- I just wished there were more books. But, you know, series that just never ended (did you ever read any Baby Sitters' Club? Or Sweet Valley High? Yikes!) were never any good :)
I know this isn't the point of your post but as an employee of the swoosh, I want to point out that you can look stylish while wearing your Nikes. :) Heels are always fun and I am impressed that you committed to looking good while in the hospital. I took the opposite approach and look awful throughout the entire ordeal. But it was hard to transition periodically out of my MANY pairs of Nikes and back into heels when I was ready to re-enter proper society. Thankfully sneakers are always en vogue at my place of employment. :)
