We survived our brush with Hollywood, barely. Princess Fiona was crabby and anxious about traveling down there. I think it was partly steroids and partly it's summer and no one is getting to bed on time, but little people are still popping up with the sun.
We had to wait for a few hours before the family showed up. We did know they would show up between 5 and 6pm because the limo company needed their limo back. You would think they would be a little more understanding with the national company....ah well. It worked out nicely for us. We were able to hang out in the VIP area and enjoy the breeze. The clouds kept the sun from shining on us and the heat down.
Then, after they went inside we got to go down to the food tent. It wasn't as exciting as I had hoped.
Fiona met up with another Fiona. Namewise, not attitude wise.
They have the same first two initials. Both parents came from Southern Oregon, they were born 5 days apart. We were all at Walt Disney World for our Make a Wish trips at the same time.
Fiona's part yesterday involved taking a lit lantern and walking over the bridge of the koi pond and then talking to Boey, the girl they were redoing the house for. I could watch over the camera guy's shoulder (the guy who was working this large crane of a camera) and then Matt, the great producer, put his ear piece up to my ear. All of the Sparrows were supposed to give some words of encouragement to Boey and then be done. Fiona said she was going to say that she knows it hurts, but she can do it Fiona did and Boey could do it too, go Boey. It sounded good, so off she went.
She went into the backyard. I heard Ty Pennington ask her what she was going to say. She said, I forgot, I'm so embarrassed! It was so funny. Ty said that was okay, that's why he wrote things down. I heard her talking about how she was coughing all of the time and that's why her parents took her to the hospital and then we thought something was wrong with her heart. I had a hard time hearing some of what she said, but she was in there the longest. CJ, the guy in charge of our Sparrows, said that people were all asking on Friday, whether or not Fiona would be coming on Saturday.
She did so well and so was so cute. We are thinking about shopping her over at Frito-Lay next! Thank heavens for Cheetos while we are doing steroids. We finally got home after 11pm. The episode should air in October, we hope that Fiona has a lot of airtime.

How fun!
Fiona is really cute! I hope she makes it on TV!
oops! I just realized I was signed in under my husband's account! So that previous comment was from me!
What a little star! And I love the Cheetoes comment. I can't see Cheetoes without thinking about Lillian. It was one of the few things she enjoyed when she was going through chemo. Dr. Nazemi always commented on our little Cheetoe girl. (Suddenly I feel like a certain VP, is it Cheeto or Cheetoe? It must be Cheetoe, Cheeto doesn't look right.) Anyhoo, they should stock Cheetoes up on 10S, it seems to be the chemo kid food of choice.
